The Process

Eligibility & Application

We help you connect with an OCI BDM (Business Development Manager) to initiate the application, confirm your business meets the DMAP eligibility criteria, and support the process toward approval into the program.

Assessment & Plan Development

Our experts conduct a diagnostic of your current state and develop the full Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan.

Submission, Review, and Approval

We review the plan with you, and help you submit the final Report, with any supporting documentation, meeting all compliance requirements.

Reimbursement

Once OCI reviews the report and your submitted/approved expenses, you will get reimbursed 50% of project costs, up to $15,000. The DMAP report facilitates your eligibility toward approval of the TDP (Technology Demonstration Program) which provides up to $100,000 in grants for your implementation efforts, based on the DMAP.

How the Funding Works

Understanding the Grant and Associated Funding

The DCC Digital Modernization and Adoption Program (DMAP) provides direct funding to SMEs to develop a digital adoption plan.

Up to $15,000 Grant Eligible

SMEs receive reimbursement for up to 50% of the cost of developing a digital adoption plan, to a maximum of $15,000.

Your business is required to contribute a minimum of 50% of the total eligible project costs.

The DMAP facilitates your eligibility for the TDP (Technology Demonstration Program) that provides up to $100,000 to implement the DMAP recommendations.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the DMAP grant, your business must meet the following criteria.

Your business must:

Be a for-profit, privately owned business, incorporated federally or provincially with a valid Business Number.

Have a permanent establishment in Ontario.

Have between 1 and 499 full-time equivalent employees.

The following businesses are ineligible:

Businesses engaged in consumer-facing retail or e-commerce operations.

Corporate chains, franchises, or registered charities.

Representatives of multi-level marketing companies.

Real estate brokerages.

Not-for-profits.
